LEAD IMAGE AS TO AVOID SPOILERS BELOW - NOT RELATED

In tonight’s episode Rick used a car door as a riot shield/weapon in the junkyard against some zombitches. Can anyone ID the car it belongs to in these grainy shitty screen shots I got?

Don’t roll down the window!

Aaaannnnnnd its gone

Looks like it came from a 4 door, and has some basic trim on the outside that could be original, or added as a gag by production to skewer the dead.

Crank windows, some odd shiny bits, but that pattern on the door trim should tip someone off.

OR, it could 100% fake and made out of cardboard so Andrew Lincoln could lift and use the thing in action.... Lord knows a 70's or 80's door like this probably weighs a bajillion pounds.

Also of note: Early on in the episode as Rick was driving away in his groovy Chevy panel van, the vent window damn near fell off. In the next scene of him driving down the highway, it had been re-attached.

Good on him (or most likely someone in the crew or it was shot earlier than the driving away and other later scenes) for re-attaching it. Can’t forgo those luxuries of a bygone era.

Top looks like old Malibu or Cutlass.

That’s just the lead image so I don’t spoil the scene.

How different is it from the comics?

Michonne, you take the water in case we get thirsty. Carl, here are the guns in case we need to fend off walkers. I’ll take this car door so we can roll down the window if it gets hot.

Interior door panel screams 1970 Nova to me - my mom had one growing up.

I think that’s what it’s from, but obviously they removed the vent window.
